How it works

The short version: you send us a good site survey, we send you a plan set you can submit. Here's the longer version.

  1. Create your company account.
It takes a couple of minutes. Everyone on your team can log in and see the same jobs.
  2. Add the project.
Fill in the job details and upload the survey photos and your layout. The form walks you through it, and it works on a phone, so whoever does the site visit can fill it in on the roof.
  3. Submit the order.
Tick rush if you need it the next business day. If a required photo is missing, we'll ask for it right away rather than guess.
  4. We draw it.
If we have a question, it shows up in the project chat and you get a notice. Answering quickly keeps the job moving.
  5. Download the plan set.
It lands in your dashboard, usually within 2 business days of us having everything we need.
  6. Revisions.
If the AHJ or utility comes back with comments, send them through the project and we'll update the drawings. One round of those is included.

What we need from you

  • Site address and homeowner name
  • Your sales design or panel layout, with the number of modules on each roof face
  • Module, inverter, racking and attachment models
  • Main panel bus and breaker rating, and how you want to interconnect (load-side breaker, supply-side tap, derate, or meter collar)
  • Roof details: stories, number of layers, framing type and span
  • Battery and backup details, if the job has them
  • Anything special: HOA rules, existing equipment, a needed-by date

Photo checklist

Clear, well-lit photos save a round of questions.

  • Utility meter, with the meter number readable
  • Main panel label (the sticker with the bus and main breaker ratings)
  • The wall where the equipment will go
  • Front of the house
  • Attic framing, with a tape measure across the rafters
  • Each roof face that will get panels
  • Subpanel, if there is one
